Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate fuel cost for a trip?

Fuel used = distance ÷ 100 × litres per 100 km. Cost = fuel used × price per litre.

Where do I find my car's consumption?

Check the car's manual or trip computer. A typical petrol car uses 6 to 9 litres per 100 km.

Does driving style change the result?

Yes. Speed, traffic, air conditioning and load all change consumption, so treat the result as an estimate.
