Frequently asked questions
How do I convert MPG to L/100 km?
Divide 235.215 by the MPG (US). For example, 30 MPG is 235.215 ÷ 30 = 7.84 L/100 km.
Why is a lower L/100 km better?
L/100 km measures fuel used per distance, so a lower number means the car uses less fuel. MPG is the opposite: higher is better.
What is the difference between US and UK MPG?
A UK (imperial) gallon is about 20% bigger than a US gallon, so the same car shows a higher MPG in UK units.
